This is my question. Is vomiting and pb'ing the same. i was told to avoid vomiting at all costs. But I thought vomiting is bringing up the acids and all from original stomache and pb. was just :ohmy:bringing up what is in the pouch??? After my last fill (first one that seems i really have restriction) I have acid reflux . Also when something gets stuck, if it doesn't come up, I help it too, to get relief. Sometimes)... I thought if it was still in the pouch, it was ok, since I read threads that alot of people write what they eat and then say (it came back up) etc...I have been putting off getting an unfill, thinking it would go away. I am at my goal and am happy with where I am, but don't want to gain it back. I do ok when I really watch and cut everything small, I get a gurgle or burp after eating a small amount and know if I keep eating it will end up coming up...sometimes the slime feels like you are not getting air unless it comes up. I also think after PB ing I don't give it a chance to heal.. What are anyone's thoughts. I think I might need a slight unfill. After reading about the slips, and erosion, I am scared. thanks Judy

I feel the same way! I'm wondering if I need an unfill. Since my last fill, I cant eat or drink much of anything without having to gack it back up... even liquids!

I started a new lap band Dr. I was told to go for 24 hrs. with only liquid or Protein Drink, then try soft, then go and try solids. I haven't been doing that, and would continue to throw up, keeping the band irratated, now it has been 2 months and I haven't thrown up at all. So try that, it worked for me.

My doc's nurse just called and said to go on warm liquids for 2 days. She also said that my stomach might be irritated from all the gacking. If I dont feel much better by Friday, she wants me to schedule a visit to have some Fluid removed next week.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that that's all it is. My doc is a 4 hour drive away, so I'm hoping this warm liquid thing will do it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
