Discomfort in the morning?

The day after my surgery at the hospital i had help getting in and out of bed. Now that im a home every morning i get up i seem to have pain at the left side of my port site, when i get out of bed. It does go away after i get up, but is that normal?

Not sure if it is normal but I had similar pain for the first couple of weeks - I was always quite sore in the morning and I figured that I had probably moved around in my sleep more than I realised. Took me a good 4-6 weeks before the pains stopped. Even now and then I get pains if I stretch too hard or do too much lifting. Overall though things are good and my doctor thinks everything is fine. Give it a bit of time - two weeks post op I felt quite normal again but it was a real effort up to that point.

I woke up sore every morning for about the first 2 weeks. I figured I had probably slept in a position that put pressure or strain on my surgical area. It did go away as I healed.
