Banded on Monday & starving today! Help!

I was banded on Monday 8/3 and was put on Clear liquids for two days afterwards. I lost 13 pounds during the pre-op & post-op diets.

Yesterday I was allowed to start the full liquids phase for the next 7 days where I can add cream Soups (strained, of course), thinned out cream of wheat & Protein shakes.

I think I'm following the diet but I got on the scale today & I gained 2 pounds...ugh!

I'm starving within an hour after eating, I don't feel full AND I gained weight.

Am I doing something wrong?:scared2:

I was banded Tuesday the 4th of August 2009 and I'm starving. What I would give for a cucumber ! LOL

We get to have shakes 3 times a day and 1/2 mushie. Cottage cheese never tasted so good.

My opinion on about the scale is stay off of it. It lies and makes you crazy ! :scared2:

Don't weigh. You are healing, your body/metabolism/digestive system are all freaked out. Plus you're pumped full of liquids during surgery.

Give it until your first fill and THEN you can start weighing and fretting. But now, your body is focused on repair and recovery, not weight loss.

What's happening to you is normal; you'll get through it!
