Went clothes shopping...

Recommended Posts

I got tired of continuously cinching my (thankfully elastic) belt to keep my shorts from falling off. Went to Eddie Bauer (first time in ages) and bought a couple 42W shorts. They're only slightly snug -- enough that I expect within a month they'll be more comfortable. I was tempted to buy a fourth pair, but I figured that'd be wasteful given the ongoing weight loss.

I checked the shorts I had been wearing: 48W. I remember them being a bit painful around the waist earlier this year.

6 inches and 70# since April.. I'm happy about it :)

Keith,

That is so awesome. I recently culled out all of my oldest “small” 38W pants and XL shirts, I just can’t wear them any longer. I went out and bought a bunch of 36W and L shirts and boy did it feel good. Some of the 36W pants are already feeling a little loose, I think I’ll been in 34W within a month. If nothing else, LapBand has been a boon to my local Goodwill.

I happen to like baggy, so I have a greater tolerance for the over-large shirts. But those pants and shorts will just hafta go :)

Good thing I saved (vacuum-packed) a bunch of clothing over the years with the expectation that I would, eventually, fit into them again.

Started at a tight 44x30, now at 33x32 fairly loose after 10 months, starting to buy 32x32 as I'll be there within a month. Shirts went from 2XL and 3XL to M.

Funniest thing is that a lot of my non-laced shoes got too big, I mean WTF, I never thought I had fat feet.

I still sometimes have a hard time finding clothes on sale, just now it's because they're all too big instead of too small. Nice problem to have.

I'm actually counting on that to happen. I've a really nice (read: I didn't look at the price when I said "yes") pair of dress shoes, and with luck I'll fit comfortably in them.

Keith - congratulations!

Ever since I shrunk out of all of my "saved not-really-skinny clothes" I've become a bit of a shopaholic. Keep me out of Eddie Bauer!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
