Has anyone on here been rebanded due to erosion????

I have been unbanded since December 08., 8 mos. now, plenty of time to heal my erosion. Had GI scope in late June, doc said I healed very well. I had my heart set on a gastric sleeve, bc/bs empire denied and said they will only pay for another band or a gastric bypass :(which I am scared to death of), due to the fact my BMI is only 35 ,and the surgeon who preforms these wont do this on me and said I would waste away too quickly because my BMI isn't high enough. But the same surgeon would consider a rebanding using the new AP band, considering it is surrounded 360 degrees by saline . Has anyone be rebanded using the new AP band??? And if so how long after your band removal did you reband? And have you had any other problems with the new surgery?

I have searched all day online for any real people who have been rebanded and its like a ghost town....except for a yahoo link that I have to be approved for to join. Thank you in advance for any support in this matter.:)
