New to the site -looking for answers

Hi everyone! I was banded on 7/7/09 and I'm already eating and tolerating solids. Is that normal? I have a fill coming up in 2 1/2 weeks and I know things will change then, but still...Just wondering if anyone else had same experience?

Thanks, Melissa:confused:

Hello Melissa,

Did your surgeon tell you it's okay to eat solids already? I had to wait 4 weeks before I could so the stomach would heal where the band was placed. Be careful eating solids too soon can cause your band to slip. Looks like you are doing great with your weight loss.
