Contracted muscle in abdomen

Has anybody else had a problem with a contracted muscle in there abdomen. I was banded 6/1/09 and a shortley afterword I noticed a lump in the center of my stomach aprrox. 2 inches above one of my incisions. My surgeon looked at it and said it was a contracted muscle. It seemed to be getting smaller and less painful as time went by. I went back to work on 7/6/09 and was only able to work 3 days and it was back again. (I do alot of heavy lifting at work) My surgeon checked it out again and said it was still a contracted muscle and has taken me off work for 2 more weeks. Has anyone else had any issues like this. Kind of bummed out about it but I'm still glad to have my band. 373/303/277

I was banded on July 2nd and have experienced a similar thing. It has been the only painful thing post op. I thought it was muscle but haven't been to see Dr, just waiting to see how it goes and if no better in a few more days I was going to ph him. Today it is actually much less painful and not as hard. So hopefully it will keep getting better. I had also been getting an annoying, discomfort rather than painful, feeling under the tip of my left bottom rib. I couldn't find any position relieved it but thank goodness it seems to be gone today.

Hope you are better soon.
