I am sure I want to do this and I've done extensive research on the procedure. I've made peace with the fact that Coke Zero will no longer be my drink of choice . I'm not scared of the pain (I've had two c-sections and a hernia repair and nothing can compare to that first c-section pain
). But now the decision on where to do it is making me crazy.
I can do it in Atlanta, GA with a doc (Macik) that my GP reccommends or I can go with Ortiz in Mexico. For some reason I've narrowed it down to those two. I am self pay and luckily can afford either one (may require a little creative financing but I've gotten good at that over the years ). The price difference is significant about $7,000 (and that allows for traveling back to Mexico for TWO adjustments). How do you decide who to go with. I don't want money to be an object, but let's face it... it is.
Mexico seems so scary... I'll never forget having Montezuma's revenge once years ago. But Ortiz seems like the "one to go to" (other than the fact that he's so darn good looking :w00t: and I'm gonna have to share all my naked, fat, glory with him). So, how do you pick? I'm not good at searching on these boards. I have looked for both Ortiz and Macik and have read the stuff that came up. But usually it's just a post with their name in it (ie: in the signature as the surgeon they used). Then there are the warning posts that say to beware of people with only one post because they probably work for the surgeon and are only posting positive things here posing as patients :glare:. Somebody help... how do you choose?
