United Health Care

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone goes through united healthcare and how long it took them to get approved? I have already called them twice to see if I had to do something and they said it is my surgeon/dr that needs to provide them with all the information.

I started all of my tests this week...I am scared they will deny me but they did say the cover the surgery as long as the doctor deems its neccesary. Scared...

I have UHC thru my hubbies employer. THey paid 100% I only had to pay my $100.00 copay for the hospital. I had to get letters of med nec from my physicians but it wasnt a problem cuz I have been planning for a long time.

UHC Insurance Question...

I'm looking to see if there is anyone out there with United Health Care PC that was over 40 BMI at time of approval but did not have the required five year weight history. I'm wondering if they will wave the requirement IF you have high blood pressure and/or diabetes.

I know some UHC does not require 5 year weight history. My insurance does. I'm hoping there is an exception to the policy. I am going to submitt my information to them and see but as I'm sure everyone here understands.... This is so important to me and I want this so I can feel better. I had to ask the question.

Thanks for reading the post..

I have United Healthcare/Oxford. They covered everything except the copay.

Good luck.
