telling the dentist about the band

Do you have to tell your dental hygenist you got the band I recently went for a cleaning and didn't tell her she really didn't have to know shes cleaning my teeth should the dentist know whats your advice thanks

Instead of telling the dentist, you might talk to your band surgeon and ask him if you should be on any kind of antibiotic when you go to the dentist for the first year after surgery. some surgeons like to do that, and your dentist still doesn't have to know.
