Can't wait to meet the new me!

Hello everyone, I've been reading posts on the message board for a few weeks, but decided to finally join and post. I am a tall woman (6'2) who weighs 344lbs and as I am getting closer to 30, I realize that I would like to have children. I didnt know it was an issue until I asked my doctor and he responded- - lose weight. Everyone told me I wasnt "fat" and I shouldnt do it... why not? I look forward to not having to big bigger shirts that dont show my "rolls" or feeling bad when I attempt to put on a tube top and and instead it looks like a corset. I cant wait until I meet the new me... starting May 22nd.

I'm tall, too, and was always told by everyone that I wasn't fat, and that I carried it well, etc.

Well, it's time for me to stop listening to everyone and take care of myself. I'm glad the lapband is available - it sounds like the right thing for me.

My surgery is May 19th, so I'll be right before you. I hope everything goes well for you! I can't wait for you to meet the new you, too!
