Hello Fellow May bandsters!!

Hi Folks,

I have been on the two week protien shake pre op diet, and had my final visit with Dr Robert Davis in Houston today also had blood work done along with a chest x-ray and EKG all went well .

My surgery is scheduled for Monday May 4th and am realy looking forward to it, It's been a long journey to get this far but im sure it will be worth it in the end!!

Would love to hear how all you felllow bandsters are getting on.

Hi Neil,

Just yesterday I saw the surgeon's associate to go over my pre-op results. Things are good but they saw some bacteria in my urnine sample so put me on an sulfer drug. Had an appointment with the nutritionist on Monday to review my post-op diet. I'm surprised that I'm only 1-2 days clear then 1-2 days full liquid before going to 2 weeks of mushies then another 2 weeks of soft. My surgery is next Wednesday but also am not on a pre-op diet. Best of luck to you!

Welcome to the Mayo Banditos, Neil! Glad things are going so well for you.

You are one of the first Banditos going through surgery! We'd love to hear back from you about how your surgery went and how you're doing when you feel up to it. There is a thread for "Surgery Stories" that you can post to.

My surgery is a week from today, and I'm getting very nervous ... yet excited, too!
