Banded 3.27.09 Question about food

I was bended yesterday. Today very sore and some gas but i am trying to be as active as possible. I have several different directions about what to eat but nothing says how much of what i should eat. What and how much did you eat the first two weeks after?

First did you Doctor give you a post op diet? If not my doctor put me on liquids for the 1st week meaning water and juice and chicken both. the next 2nd and 3rd week was mushies like creamy soup like corn chowder. I also blended anything I wanted to have like i'll have a chicken noodle soup blended. after the 3rd week I was on soilds. regular food. Hope this helps

What did your doc's directions say to do? For about 99% of us, we are NOT to eat, but rather have liquids only. You need to follow your surgeon's directions.

I was told the first week on liquids to sip about 6ounces every hour. But I would be on the phone with your Dr., these are things they should of educated you on before your surgery. Good Luck in your Journey!:tongue_smilie:
