Hi i'm new from Cordova, Tn

Hey everyone! I just took my first step in this long journey. I went to the seminar at Baptist Memphis for Dr Woodman. My hubby and BF worked with him @ Methodist Germantown and say his is a Great Surgeon. My First office visit is 4/7. I have all my medical record and am setting up the phych and nutritional now. I call my ins. UHC they say it’s covered if medically Ness. I have a select plus ppo plan. Dr Woodman’s office said UHC does not make you do the 6 month sup. Diet. I have been on and off diet pills before and I would lose maybe 10 pounds in the first month and nothing else. It would keep me up for days until my body said STOP GET SOME SLEEP!!! Once I stopped taking them I would put the pound plus some back on. Anyways I am right at the 40 bmi and that worries me. I keep thing they might say I am borderline. I think I have some co health problems. I am insulin resistant, PCOS, I have anxiety/ depression ( like everyone who is over weight). Reflux and have to take meds for that. This past year my B/P has been up and down. sometime normal other time high. My good cholesterol is low but my bad is ok and my total is ok, oh and on top of it I have a small goiter and "borderline" hypothyroidism. I love how Dr's tell you, you are BORDERLINE on everything. I guess will see in a couple of weeks. I would like to know if anyone else has this ins. plan or works for the city of Memphis. Thanks :cursing:

Since you have GERD, you should be okay. Just be careful about losing weight before surgery. Make sure the insurance company will be okay with it.
