Today is a day I wish I had had, RNY!!!

I haven't seen the scale budge in 1 1/2 week, almost 2.

I am drinking my protien........ISOPURE

Granted I don't get to work out much, but I am on my feet most of the day 4 days a week.

I texted DH and I am busting out the Wii fit tonight.

I only ate meet yesterday off a gyro with some lettuce and Tomato. I had I think 6 mini meatballs and cheese and tomato sause. Took Tika out for a small jog ( its been raining and she won't potty with out a walk on those days)

And that is all I ate yesterday. Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong. I have to have a cup of coffee in the AM. I can't eat in the am cause I am so tight. So I have a EAS shake, and wait till lunch to eat anything, sometimes I am still tight I can't eat and it comes back up.

Please any insite would help.

I am right now about 223. I am not changing my ticker. I have been as low as 221. I don't need a fill. I just want to cry~ Plus I have 9cc in my 9cc realize band!

Thanks

Keri

you have done a great job going from 280 to 220's. that is significant. my surgeon told me that some people actually need to be banded and then a year or so later they need gastric bypass. he said it's kind of a two step process for some people to get down to a normal weight. but, keep up the good work.

ps- I usually have coffee in am too. That's ok. I even use % milk & 1 sugar.

If I don't have a cup.......... I don't poo.....:lunch:

SO I need it, not to keep me awake, but to help move things.

Keri,

This thread got a little OFF TOPIC! You were banded a couple of weeks after me. I got stuck for over a month before the scales finally started moving again THIS WEEK! Go over to www.livestrong.com/dailyplate and log every bite you take. Also log your Water intake. You'll be amazed at what you see. Make sure you're eating the right amount...not too much, but also not too little. And, vary your calorie intake up and down every few days...keeps your metabolism confused.

You say you don't get to work out much. You'll have to find a way to incorporate physical activity into your day even if it's not a structured workout. Do the best you can, then don't worry about the rest.

The weight will eventually come off, just not as fast as you'd like. You can do this!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
