banded 3/2, tightening in chest?

hi there, i was banded on Monday and everything went well. I'm on clear liquids and feel a tightening in my chest every so often thruout the day (right in between my boobs, probably where the band is). is this common? it seems if I stretch or breathe deeply it goes away, but it happens quite frequently. has anyone else had this? what is it?

I had this feeling too and it was just due to recovering from surgery and getting used to having the band in place. I checked with my doctor and it was fine.

However, because it is in the chest area and many of us who struggle with obesity have also put extra strain on our hearts, you should definitely call your doctor to let them know.

It is most likely a non-issue, but it is impossible to say for sure and that is why the doctor should be informed.

I was banded on 3/3 and I too have a tightness in my chest. I think part of it is gas and soreness from the surgery. Everything should be fine but if it continues I would speak with your dr. Good luck!!:)
