My surgery is finally scheduled!

Recommended Posts

After waiting months for this, that and another thing to be done, my surgery is finally scheduled! YAY:thumbup:

I am having it done in three weeks - March 23. I'm excited and yet a little nervous! Any advice and/or suggestions for these last 3 weeks?

Congrats on your date! I have the same date as you and am so excited (seems like I've been going through the whole process forever) to finally be close!

I don't have any advice/suggestions. I go in next Monday for my 2 week pre-op diet, so right now I'm going through trying different brands of Protein shakes and such. I've also been reading more than normal on here, and trying to prepare everything (been shopping for Vitamins, bought a blender, stocking up on broths/jellos/etc.).

I know three weeks isn't long, but I have a feeling it's going to drag by for me. Good luck!

Congrats on getting your date, it is worth the wait even though sometimes it seems like it takes FOREVER!

Y A H O O ! ! !

Just follow the pre-op diet. It is designed to reduce your liver size and make things easier for the surgeon and less pain for you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
