March Exercise challenge

Haven't seen this yet for March, so here goes. Same rules as always, not so much a challenge as a way to keep us all motivated.

I took this weekend off. Needed it badly apparently.

This morning I ran 2 miles @ .5% incline in 16:47. Ran another 1/2 mile @.5% incline in 4:47. Followed that with 10 minute cooldown and 20 minutes on elliptical.

Tonight will be heavy upper body supersets. Maybe some more cardio, hopefully.

Afternoon Warriors!

Usual walking - morning with DD and DDog, got in a lunchtime walk yesterday. No walk at lunch today - Admissions Committee.

Rowed last night - covered 4251m in 30:06, which is more distance *yay* but my split time was slower at 3:44. I think that means I'm getting stronger, but not necessarily faster.

Since I've never been the fastest woman on the block, I'm not too upset, but maybe speed will come later as I continue to row.

Got in another 1.5 miles on the treadmill. Ran the first 1 mile in 7:55 @ .5% incline. Then, dropped down to 6 mph to finish out the half mile in 5 min. @ same incline.

Also, followed that with 10 min. cooldown and 15 min. on elliptical.

Today: 45 minutes on the treadmill at 4% incline 2.19 miles.

Tried out the strength training on Wii Fit. Eh.

But my Mii shrunk!

Today I went biking with my group. We road over 27 miles! I was squarely in the front of the back of the pack, too. This is a big improvement because normally I'm trailing last.

Yesterday: No exercise

Today: Treadmill 4% incline 2.40 miles 45 minutes. Feel like I am getting stronger and stronger every day I am on the new meds!:)

so had been in MX for a few days.

played golf everyday - did lots of swimming & walking on the beach....nothing crazy, but i was active.

today -

20min treadmill - 7%incline/3.4speed walk

20min bike - level9 9/4.55miles

20min stairmaster - level 5/83 flights

back w/my trainer tomorrow - i'm guessing after a month of barely weight lifting i'll struggle a bit.

I went to the gym and did 13.33 miles on the stationary bike. I moved up to Level 11, too. :)

Yesterday: Treadmill 45 minutes at 4% incline for 2.3 miles.

Today, I get a fluro fill to see why I am losing fill.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! :lunch:

I posted in the Couch-to-5K thread. Ran my first 5K race!

Here's my full race report:

Fatty Fights Back: My first 5k - Race Report

Very cool. My friend ran it too. I actually drove by Sacramento the morning of the race and was thinking of all the runners. I am so glad the rain did not ruin your run.

Great job!:lunch:

Mornin' Warriors!

Had a wonderful weekend - the weather was soooo nice in CT that I took some long walks with DDog. We didn't break any speed records, but I did push it hard enough that I had a little leg soreness afterward.

Still loving the rowing machine - last night's numbers were 4280m rowed in 30:06, with a 3:30 split for 500m. I did change the machine - there's a cover on the wheel which I did leave closed initially, but opened last night. My DH said that keeping the cover closed made the rowing easier, so now that I'm about 3 weeks into it, I decided to open the cover.

I did notice less "airflow" around the wheel, and that when I'm rebounding for another pull, the wheel doesn't "coast" as much as before. I think that means that I'm going to be working harder to get the same numbers as before - and that's a good thing!

Have a great afternoon, all!:lunch:

back into serious working out - today:

1.5m bike warm up

1hr session w/trainer - all floor exercises / resistance band & ball training. no weights

30min walk level 7 / 3.2 speed

it is a BEAUTIFUL day in dallas - suppose to hit 85. i picked up DH's and mine mountain bikes from being serviced. hopefully if DH gets home early enough we can go for a ride around the lake. i'll post tom if that happened....got SPRING fever!!!!!

I ran 4 miles today! There were two rest breaks in there, but still... it took about an hour.

Monday-did 2.25 miles @ 1% incline. Went into the gym in afternoon for upper body circuits. Went BADLY. Felt weak from the get go. I don't know if it is work is just so bad right now that it is effecting me or what, but it was bad.

Tuesday-another 2.25 miles @ 1% incline. Got stuck in a meeting and didn't get out in time to lift with legs.:w00t:

Today-yet another 2.25 miles but @ .5% incline at a light job today, didn't push it.

I'll get in some more running tomorrow. Friday I go on VACATION!!!!!:w00t::w00t::lol::w00t::lol: Going to Orlando for 8 days, can't wait. I'll most likelly get up in the mornings and run outside for the first time since last Oct.
