Who here has been banded the longest?

Who is still here and has been banded the longest?

I'm sure that everyone goes into this thinking that they are going to do great, loose what they need/want to and never gain it back.

Just wondering how some of the people that are the true pioneers of banding are doing.

I think Jack's been 5 years or so?

I'm doing great at 3 and a half. I lost the weight and have kept it off so far. I really changed nothing once i hit goal weight - I just kept doing what I did to lose and now I maintain.

I know a lady who is a member of LBT that has been banded since '97, as she was part of the FDA study.

She lost 200lbs if I remember correctly and has kept it off and is very happy.

I've had the band for almost 5 years now and have lost 155 pounds and have maintained for a few years now. The Lapband rocks! :)

This will be my 8th year with my band and life is great....i have been maintaining without a problem for years and it is a way of life for me now, i still get a little shock when people say something about how slow i eat lol because to me it is normal. I love everything about it and would never change a thing! I hope to have the band the rest of my life....being im only 23 i hope it will last me that long :-)
