New In Town and Frustrated!

Hello Fellow Lapbanders! I had my lap band surgery in November 2008, I have lost 48 lbs and was doing fine until recently. I was able to pretty much eat anything in moderation and then at the end of December I began having difficulty- I began p-bing you know that awful slime. I keep telling myself it will pass but after two months it is not passing- no matter what I eat everything seems to irritate me and it ends up coming back up.... I am so frustrated do not understand why this is happening and do not know how to fix it. I went to my doctor today and will have some tests done on Wednesday (a new esphogram). Anyone out there had anything else similar? My doctor mentioned that depending what my tests showed we may have to remove my band. After all of the work and expenses of getting banded that is the last thing I want to see happen but I am so tired of getting sick! UGH!

When was your last fill?? Why wouldn't he try an unfill - or have you already tried that?? I have heard of people who have a delayed reaction to a fill. When you say you saw your doctor... was that your band surgeon? I am so sorry that you are having problems and hope that you will be able to keep your band - but being healthy comes first. Good luck to you!!! You will be in my thoughts. Becky

Hey There Miss BS-

I have not had a fill yet because I have been losing steadily so that is not an option. Hoping to find out more after my tests tomorrow. Will keep you posted.
