Were you hungry in the 1st week postop?

Just wondering if anyone else was starving on the liquid postop stage. I'm on full liquids and am 5 days postop. I had absolutely no appetite at all for the first few days and no suddenly I'm ravenous. I'm so hungry. I keep reading threads about new postops not being hungry and I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that is. I can't wait until I can eat again. I mean my stomach is growling. I have 3 cc's in a 14 cc band that was put in at the time of surgery. Will this get better once I get some solids or not until I get proper restriction?

My second week after being banded was the worst. You never realize how many food comercials there are on t.v. until you are starving and unable to eat. It was miserable but worth it.

OMG! I just said the same thing!!! I was like "were there ALWAYS this many food commercials on TV??!?!?!" I mean I knew subway was on all the time with their 5 dollar foot long deals (that is always in my head!!) but I hadn't noticed all the other ones. It is maddening!!! Thank God for being able to DVR shows and fast forward through them all.

I'm exactly one week post-op today and though I feel pretty much healed and almost back to normal physically, I'm hungry a lot........can't wait for the mushy phase and real food!
