Leaving in 15 minutes for surgery... I don't think it will seem real till I"m laying on the table.. I was very excited today when I weighed myself to find I had lost 17lbs,, its a huge accomplishment for me, and I am at the weight I was at when I broke my leg 08/17/2007.. With more weight loss maybe it won't hurt anymore!!

Best of luck to any MARCH 3RD BANDSTERS

HUGS AND WELL WISHES

How's the liquid diet going? I'm only on my second day and I'm craving a Tbone steak. Don't know if I'll ever have one of those again!

My surgery was around 9, and i was outta there as soon as i could keep Water down, and not throwing up.

I'm home and walking around for about 10 minutes every hour (if not more) to help the air go away. The pain isn't bad at all. I do have a very high pain tolerance. getting up, going from standing to sitting and taking really deep breaths are the only time i have any discomfort!

hubby is going to go get my pain meds soon from the pharmacy though, so i don't let the pain GET bad.

I was surprised that i wasn't nervous this morning. my BP was perfect, so it wasn't even making that go up!

i keep dozing off, so i better go take a nap, or at least try to rest!

I'm new to the entire group. Just found it today :). But my surgery is scheduled for March 16th. On my 3rd day of the "yummy" shakes. I wanted to say hi and get involved in this group. The process to get insurance approval was involved but I wouldn't say overly difficult.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
