Rumor?? Tri Care No longer covering lapband??

Hi i heard something today, that Tricare was no longer covering lapbands. Im in Europe so i have tricare overseas. My firiend said the doctor today told her they weren't covering it as of January 1st. 2009??? I don't know if it will affect Tricare stateside. Does anyone know anything about this????

    I am in the states and Tricare approved me on january 20th, 2009.

    Well Tricare is still covering lapband I got a call from my doctor office yesterday telling me Tricare approve me for lapband. But the only thing is my doctor is book until May. So my date is not until May 19. But at least I have a date I guess. Good luck to your friend.
