My birthday present to myself

Hi,

I was banded in Brooklyn, NY by Dr. Sherwinter and I'm thrilled to have a place to come for all those questions that pop up at odd times. Such as how will my skin react to weight loss--will I be left with lots of flab? Or how long will post-op swelling last? Its good to have others who have gone thru the same procedure to talk to.

Welcome to LapBandTalk!

Skin -- hard to say. Genetics, age, starting BMI, etc. all play a part. Mine comes and goes. Some days I'm certain PS is in my future and others I'm thinking I'll escape.

The swelling took me a while to get rid of. A couple weeks at least. It's hard to remember... it seems to LONG ago even though it wasn't.
