September Bandster Check-in

Hi everyone,

I was banded 9-23-08 and have lost a total of 55 pounds so far. I have had three fills and 1 unfill Friday. I was pbing slime, went to Dr. he told me I was filled perfect, I had a sinus infections with lots and lots and lots of phlegm......so i got a 1/2 cc unfill. Now I can eat and eat and eat...but am going to wait until the sinus infection goes away...I WILL not gain more than 5 lbs. I always say 5 lbs could be Water weight, hormonal weight. I started at a size 18 now I am at a size 14. YEAH....Love the band, would do it all over again.

I just thought I would report that the chicken thighs cooked in the salsa did the trick for me and chicken. The chicken was moist. It was so good. My family thought it was great. I couldn't tell them that the idea came from here because DH is scared of anything that might be considered diet food (even though it isn't diet). I fixed spanish rice (I didn't eat that) to go with it. I sprinkled a little lf cheese on top. I will be making this again. Thanks GusGus for mentioning chicken thighs. I will be using those from now on.:wink:

Congrats on your weight loss! I can completely relate with the sinus infection. I had a head cold last week. I had to drink warm liquids through the day. Thankfully, I only had one day that I felt completely full in my pouch (from sinus drainage). That was the first day on warm liquids. I am glad that you are better now. I am going on Tuesday for another fill. Hopefully, this will get me to the sweet spot to help me with my remaining hunger. Keep up the good work!
