14cc band - what is your sweet spot?

Recommended Posts

It seems like alot of people have 10cc bands. I'm curious about those that have the 14 cc band as to what your sweet spot is.

I "think" i am at 9 cc's. I haven't had a fill since June so I can't quite remember...it may be 10 but i'm pretty sure it's 9.

I have an appt to get a fill on jan 19th but I think I will cancel. There are days where I feel like i could eat a house and then a couple of days later it goes back to normal and i'm thank god i didn't get a fill!

I have a 14cc also. I only have 4.5cc's in. I am due for a fill on the 20th of January. I hope I can get a little more restriction. I think I ate a house for the holidays.... but I walked it off.

My doctor starts off our first fill with 4 cc's - I just had my first one last Tuesday but I feel like I had more restriction before the fill.

I can't remember for sure but I think I have 7 cc in right now. My last fill was in October and I have felt like I was at my sweet spot. I have consistently lost since my fill and have cancelled 2 fill appointments. The last few days however I have been feeling quite a bit less restriction. Hopefully the next sweet spot will be just as easy to find.

It's weird because I am eating every 2 hours - my meals are small because I do have some restriction but I'm always ready for a snack with-in 2 hours like clockwork. I also have been able to eat anything - all foods are going down (I just take it slow & easy). That is what I want though - just to eat smaller portions.

I have a 14 cc band and have it filled to 7 cc's. This was after my 4th fill and I have significant restriction, but I still can eat a lot of food. So on my next fill I hope to add just .5 cc's and that should do the trick. Keep in mind that everyone's body is different.

I have 5 ccs in a 14 cc band. I'm going Thursday for a fill. I can eat a lot! And while I maintained over the holiday, my goal is to lose weight. Today at lunch (I was hungry and in a hurry - bad combo) I really PB'd bad, slimed and threw up on chicken breast (I know, TMI). But that happens rarely with me. I have to learn to eat much slower and chew more.

So far - eating slower for me is the key! I found a WW Calzone in my freezer the other day - I decided that if I'm gonna eat it - I should do it before I get more fills. I just took it slow and had no problems.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
