Happy new year and hope 2009 will be a great year

Recommended Posts

Happy New years to everyone.

I haven't been on here for a while, because I haven't been doing that great with my program. :cursing::thumbup: I did get my first fill 12/10 and I feel restriction and can only eat a little at any one time. But because the food has been more readily available I tend to pick. Therefore, I haven't lost any more weight since my fill. I also still need to start my excercise program.

I feel very distracted and can't keep my mind on a good eating program. I have decided that I should write down everything I eat, so I can be more focused. Has that helped anyone else?:)

I hate to go back to the doctor and not have lost any weight in a month. I'm planning to go on mushies again to see if that helps. I don't want to fail.

My diabetes is under better control, which is a positive. I just hope that the weight will continue to drop off and I will have a leaner, healthier and sexier 2009.:tt2:

One thing I must say is that if Ms Oprah can't keep her weight under control with all her money, power and access to everything, then I won't beat myself up about my preceived failure.:tongue2:

Happy new year to you! Don't even think failure at this point. This is supposed to be a marathon. You are supposed to lose weight slowly. The holiday season is over so you should get rid of any that food around the house. Just start fresh. It took years for us to build our bad habits. Getting rid of them won't be overnight. Cut yourself some slack. Track your food. That does seem to help keep me honest with myself (even when I am screwing up). You have your diabeties under control. I think that is awesome! We have to Celebrate those small victories. They add up. You are on the right path. We are all going to get swayed every once in a while. You are human. Just get up and dust yourself off. We have these bands for life. Continued success to you!

Hey girl...

It's time to be fine in 09 !!!

Slim is right... let it go... dust it off and keep it movin. I have not had a fill in two almost three months and still going up and down with three to four pounds. That is frustrating but I know I will never be 304 pounds again.

We are in this thing together!!

Travel Lady you have lost weight that is wonderful! I like your mindset its just time to refocus and set some small goals. When I did WW I tracked everything and that helped me a lot. If you rather do it on line try the daily plate.com its very handy. I actually rejoined WW and plan to keep going the mental stuff is the hard part. There is a co-worker who just told me she was 280 pounds 15 years ago and did a 12 step program to help get it off and keep it off and its a battle everyday. So there are resources out there to help you as well! Please join our 30 day exercise thread!!!

Hey Ladies:

Thanks for your responses, it is a new year and I am just going to make a new start.

I will also look for that 30min excercise thread, that's something that may really help me.

Anne

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
