I am too tight but afraid to adjust

Most days I am too tight - can't get much but liquid down - PB a lot if I keep trying to eat and yes I chew chew chew. I should probably have an adjustment - but before this last adjustment I was wide open. I am afraid if I do that - I will be back to wide open again. Also - I go days without eating much and then - boom - I can eat anything for a whole day and find myself eating safe foods like mashed potatoes and goopy stuff. It is 6 months in and still haven't found my sweet spot. PLUS I made the mistake of advertising my surgery to everyone who looks at me like - wow - didn't she have surgery? She's still fat as hell!

I can tell you I have been there where you are, too tight and miserable. But by staying too tight you are risking your band entirely. If you are too tight you can risk a slip.

You can get a small amount out of your band and it will help you. How big is your band and what is your current fill?

I've been there. Done that. I walked around like that for a few weeks and thought I could live on Soup. Then I got a bit tighter and was PBing more than I should. And then I woke up one night with some vomit in my mouth. It just got worse and worse until I had to get an emergency unfill. I got .3 ccs taken out of a 10 cc VG band. That SMALL amount made all of the difference in the world to me. It does not take much and will make you much more comfortable.

Many people gain weight when they are too tight by getting calories from liquid stuff... You're better off getting a bit taken out.

Also, too tight can mean a higher likelihood of a slip...

Call your doc. I promise you are doing yourself NO favors by staying tight.
