Art work and their artists

Recommended Posts

Okay, I did my dress design that I posted earlier, and then I started seeing all this stuff and my mom gave me all these ideas, so I did another one, that I think is closer to what I'll really be using.

New Dress

The skirt will have 5 layers (that kind of hang lower in the back creating the train), and the bottom two layers are removable for after the ceremony and the pictures. It's going to be a beach wedding, so I don't want it dragging all over the place :). Also, I've decided to do a french manicure with the tips done in one of the wedding colors instead of white :bananapowerslide:

Very Cool, Sarah - and great planning for the removable length. You going barefoot? Be sure you get your toes done!

:]

The dress will be a joint project with my mom. She made my promdress too :).

Of course I'll have my toes done :). There's also these things for feet that are kind of a toe ring hooked to an anklet. They make some nice bridal ones. Someone I work with does alot of beadwork, so I'll probably commission her to make me one. Now I just have to decide what to do about the bridesmaids. They are all so different in style that at the very least, I've decided to choose the color(s) and have them help design their dresses to match their styles.

I do quilting, which I feel is fabric art, but I don't have any photos...will try to get some. I tend to make them and give them away as gifts. I also like to do primitive embroidery and have made and sold embroidered pillows to a couple of local gift shops. Recently I bought some felted wool and did a small garden scene for a friend...want to do one for myself next. I'd love to be able to draw and paint, but I'm hopeless at it.

Sandybwells, I LOVE LOVE your art. I do abstract paintings like this as well. What medium do you use? I work in acrylics and canvas but want to branch out to watercolors?

People that know me on here know I am a bit colorful as far as my personality.. I think. I am into a little bit of everything. I paint, draw, sketch (pencil) and am into photography. Here is some of my work. Ecclectic and weird, just like me. :) I'll post some photos I took of a few people and scenery.. and self portraits in another post.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
