John,

That's awesome that you and your wife are renewing your vows...that is very special! How long have you been married?

Are you done with the purree's?

I got my lab results and they were good so probably will do the ekg Wednesday!

Laurel, I am so excited for you! Your gonna do great. Did you attend cooking school in Paris? I know you said you love to cook but that is awesome. I don't really like to cook so I admire everyone that cooks and is good at it. I am hoping as some have said on here that they really enjoyed cooking after they were banded....I hope that happens to me!

Great day everyone!

Ali - I have been married almost 16 years. I was joking about renewing vows to get Reggie to cook for us. Haha She is a wonderful host. One more meal of semi purees as I sort of advanced myself a couple days ago. Just can’t stand purees so I’ve been eating some soft food the last two days. Tomorrow is all soft food and no crappy purees! Yippee! Did you get a case manager appointment?

Nicolie – I’m sure you will get a fill! I’ll warm him up to it on Wednesday! Haha

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

Sooooo I am officially back on track as of tomorrow, and will need the support.

I have gained close to 10 lbs since my fill March 4th. I have no restriction and went on an eating binge! I have had everything you can think of from Chinese, to pizza to italian. Cakes, Cookies, brownies, coffees. Everything I use to eat before surgery. It sucks I did it, but I cannot blame anyone but myself thats for sure!

I had to come out myself, so everyone can help me back on track.

Candra-I'm here. Thanks for asking bout me....Tryin to stay afloat.......sinking,.... fast!!!

Tamra-gurl, I'm with you...I need to get my stuff together. I have to focus. My appt is on the 1st and I am no where near ready. I have gained maybe 3lbs but it feels like 10lbs.....

I can't wait to see you all. We can all use the motivation. I need restriction!!!! Thinking of doing my own version of the 5 day pouch test....

I am worried that if I am not feeling restriction that I will slip back into my old ways and eat foods that will slip through my band. I over think things, but I really want this surgery to work for me. I don't want to be the person who messes up this gift. I have messed up so many times before that I really want this to work. I am stressing about it.

Ali, yes. I went to cooking school in Paris. I had always wanted to and so this past summer I splurged. It was great fun shopping in the open air markets and going back to cook what we purchased each day. I made a chocolate fondant this weekend for friends and ate myself silly. Felt horrible on Sunday morning from all that rich food. Blech...just not used to it anymore. It sure tasted good though.

Candra, I am 7 pounds below my goal weight for surgery now and will be banded next Monday. I can't wait!! This just has to work.

Yes Nicole. I am nesting and stocking up on Stage 1 and 2 foods. I am trying to clear up all my work projects so that I can take my two weeks off, but the darn things multiply like bunnies!!

Wasn't it nice outside today? I took a long walk and fixed a nice salad for dinner. Warmer weather means more opportunities to get outside and exercise. I need to make that a priority.

Hi Everyone

Tam - You can do it. I applaud you for your honesty. Can you figure out what triggered you to do all the eating? This stage IV is hard when you don't feel much restriction. Hang in you have done so much hard work already.

CoCo - you too. Don't do 'lonely eating'. I am with you on Stage IV bein hard and not feeling anything stop you. My strategy right now is if I am really hungry and can't ignore to eat more Protein food and try to stay away from the junk. We'll see if it works.

Ok for Sat. Does 11 am work to meet at the wetlands? Then lunch at 12:15 or 12:30 at my house?

Candra - you have to stay for a lunch - I'm not afraid of Bridzilla - I've raised teenagers! So give me her # and I'll tell her you have to be with your girls!

Who is coming? Jes, Candra, CoCo, Tamra, Riley, Heather, maybe Lee - who else? And what are your food restrictions besides those on Stage IV and Riley being a vegan?

Hey Everyone, I got to look at the wedding pics tonight and they rock! What a beautiful wedding CoCo. Reggie, you are definitely the hostess in charge! How lovely of everyone to throw you that stunning reception. Coco, I hope that your life together is wonderful and brings new found joy and happiness everyday.

I'm hanging in here. Had some blood pressure problems over the weekend that left me too weak to do anything. I think I'm ok today. Doc Baggs put me back on my blood pressure meds on Saturday and I think it went lower than it's ever been. I didn't take my pill today and did much better. I'll have to email him. So excited to move to soft foods tomorrow. I've been eating very soft meatloaf and very soft mush with a fork marinated mahi mahi. Everything goes down just fine for me.

I can't believe that Wednesday is one month out!!

What really helps me stay on track is logging all my food in myfitnesspal.com. Knowing that I have to write it down and look at the calories has helped me. For the first few weeks, John and I were emailing our food every night. I like being accountable. Over at obesityhelp, I participate in a thread where people write their food, exercise, Vitamins etc daily. It's really helpful. Maybe for those of you trying to get back on track, it might help to write your food everyday with an eye for being on plan? Just a thought.

*waving a big hello to everyone*

Candra, blame it on the rerereree and the shrriiiimmmpp LMAO. Girl we had a ball indeed Jes is off the chain and she knows why....lol got to post the pics. We should hang out more often. We made a wonderful team. tell Baby girl she can come over any day, I need her skills.

Mo - I miss ya!! get back on track we need to look sexy for the spring and summer and thereafter lol!!!! You can do it. If I can get back on my exercise horse I will be galloping majestically but i am not and need to...

John- Hope you are well, you are cracking jokes as usual so you must be well. Bon appetite with the mushies. I know it is torture.

Rambo, take me away.......

Mo, I'm sinkin wicha!

I am blaming it on Reggie, JES & Coco!

Coco had to go and get married which meant Reggie & JES had to cook and well, that just meant I HAD to eat - unfortunately, my mouth has not realized that the reception is over!

Coco - so sorry bout the cherry kisses LMAO

John, Rambo is being good to me but my taste buds are not. I can't eat alot in one sitting but I can have alot of sittings LOL. I've PB'd alot these last 2 days but it hasn't seemed to stop me from trying - again - the food I'm suppose to eat is what makes me PB but the all the junk food that I'm not suppose to eat goes down just fine - so.... I gotta get my head examined!

Just sent off my $957.00 check to cobra! Danm health care - at least we got it down from 600 to 4 something! But we still hafta pay for the month we didn't use - Therefor - I must get back on track and lose these last little pounds before I see Doc Who again - just when I thought I was off the hook!! UGH!

I ate a whole chocolate bar tonight - at least it was 85% Dark cocoa so not too bad - 210 cal & 5 g carbs.

OMG - watching discovery health and this man is talking about his little girl - she has a headache and this man had the audacity to say "a headache is a headache and it will go away" gee 4 days later he takes her to the Doc. Apparently he's never had a headache! Sensative subject for me!

I find that I eat more when I'm alone - my husband is in Alabama and won't be back till Friday so here I am, in bed, alone.... snacking!

Oh, a lady that works in the office next to me - mind you I see her ALL the time just asked me today if i've "lost weight" said "you look different" Bet underneath all that hair dye is a natural blonde hahahaha.

TamTam - you have my metabolism - we must be the only people on earth that can gain 10lbs in 2 days LOL

donna - whacha doin miss lady - those carnations still sittin pretty... ??

Good Morning!

I'm just having my Breakfast. (I know, in front of the computer... I'll try to break that habit I swear!)

I wasn't feeling well last night so I didn't go to my group training, which means I have to go tonight. I swear, this daylight savings thing messed me up. I was so tired at work yesterday I was afraid I'd fall asleep! I seem to have gained about 5 lbs over the weekend. Not cool since I weigh in at the gym tonight. My trick? I wait until after my workout (try not to drink too much Water during) then weigh in, then finish hydrating. I'll drink if I'm thirsty but no gulping. Seems to have helped last week. Somebody pray to the scale gods that it's ok tonight! lol.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
