OMG Nicole, I'm so sorry you had that episode. Well is seams that my green runs has run it's course, hopefully. It wasn't nearly as bad as before. I forgot to tell you all we made it over to the Sac Kaiser I was able to do the do, and after a bit of KP bureaucracy I was able to turn in my little sample :seeya: so hopefully I'll find out something by tomorrow.

LaCica I'm glad you did your research and really thought about it. I know there are certain things for me that were non negotiable and the band allows me to be me. So hopefully this will allow you to be you.

Heather that is a cute dress on you. You are developing quite the wardrobe girl.

Candra I don't know what's wrong with me I've also had 2 SF popsicles. I was going to have the other have of my chili for dinner but seeing as I've eaten it already I'm leaning towards the egg, hmmmm.

Jes, that's where I've been for a few days. Your body wants nutrients and since the greens are gone and whatever it was has cleared up - your body is feeling better and ready for some real food. I didn't puree the egg salad, i smashed it up real well with the may but there were little chunks so I felt like i was eating real food LOL. start slow and chew well, just in case.

I might put mine in the chopper. I think I'm going to get started at least boiling the eggs. Although the chili was good it was a slider since I added the broth it was thin Soup.< /p>

Are you on Facebook Nicole? Send me a friend request - I can't figure out how to. My screen name is momcof3@frontiernet.net. My kids are playing in the pool with army men, Barbies, tupperware and baggies. That's what happens when I go into the computer room - they take half the house outside. At least they seem to be having fun and are getting along. I finally got all the laundry done and straightened out the linen closet.

I had Rice Krispies and banana for Breakfast and ice cream for lunch - guess you could say I'm not on plan today - emotionally eating. I will make sure I have Protein for dinner.

Stay away from the flour tortillas Nicole - I tried to eat a little Taco Bell burrito while driving my RV on the freeway this summer and ended up pbing in a plastic bag while driving - haven't had a flour tortilla since then - not even going to try one.

My mom bought my kids some junk at the thrift shop - now who needs a 3 ft tall Pikachu doll? Taran did get a tank top and a fuzzy frog backpack. My mom fed them lunch at her house before bringing them back. Back to the grind tomorrow - I already don't want to go to work.

Yea pam i think it was the flour. It was crappy. Mike said when he eats the burritos he has a ton of soda to down it with. That whole burrito did end up making its way back up.. took me an hour though. Most horrifying experience ever.

Im debating on dinner. I think ill have some tea to down the swelling and try Soup. We will see i promised mike dinner. And im so good at breaking promises he says so im going to go.

Did i tell everyone we lost our atm.. nightmare..

My morning sickness seems to be gone! I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and haven't felt icky for 4 days now thank goodness!

I'll post more when I get back, we've just been busy and I haven't been online at all. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Hey Everyone

I missed you all yesterday. First one I have missed since April 2009. It will be a long month until the next one!! :-(

So sad I missed getting to meet the new people and yep once a month is not enough.

Everyone is looking great!! And Candra loving you in dresses!! Nicole and Pam you girls must be at goal your looking so thin. Jes I hope that green goes away.

Everyone else so sorry I missed out ........next time!!

So this fill is starting to work. I am down 2 pounds. Weird thing is I have been able to eat bread now......I had a vege burger (with wheat bun) today and it goes down fine now. Granted I only could eat a 1/3 of it and gave the rest to my daughter. But the thing with bread is over now as long as I only take a few bites it works!! Not sure if that is good or bad yet!!

I didn't feel my fill all all until late yesterday and I got the fill on Thursday. So we will see where I am in a couple of weeks and TOM. But at this point I could use just a bit more of a fill cause I get hungry to soon. But I can't eat more than 1/2 a cup at this point without getting stuck. So far no PB's but i am stopping as soon as I get that "feeling" no more bites once I "feel" my band and no PB'ing for over a month now............

I am very close to my sweet spot I think...............

Oh went shopping today for my "new" job. I have to dress up more now..........****sigh****.........I was able to get out of Lane Bryant and go to the Limited and New York and COmpany my old stomping grounds..........I am in XL and 14/16 so I barely make it but found some things that fit..........

Also went to VS and got new bras. Seems I have been wearing the wrong size I went down two sized but didn't realize it. Candra my cup size is the same but the band has gone down two sizes!! So I don't know if I can offer you much home of shrinking that ladies..........LOL ;-)

So Ladies I start this darn new job tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it!! I hate starting over again.....and geez right back to the office was was working at 8 years ago. I have come full circle now!! Gearing up for a long commute tomorrow..........I hope I like this new job.

My program manager and supervisor pulled me aside on Friday before I left my office and the PM told me that she wants me to come back once the dust settles and some positions open up!! I told her I am coming back as a supervisor next time!! LOL. She told me she could see that happening..............I am hoping in the next six months to be back up closer to my home and back with my coworkers who had enough senority to stay.............

Still traumatized by the craziness of the last month. ...........trying to recover!!

Did I say I HATE starting new jobs!! I just want to get back to the routine and have some sanity in my life..........

BOS meets this week and if they approve funding I might get pulled back to my old job in two weeks. For now I am working with babies born with drugs in their system and with medically neglected children so off to the hospitals I go.

Please pray for me that I don't let my bad attitude about my employer blurt out tomorrow...................cause I am so pissed off right now about how messed up the last month has been!! ;-)

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
