No, Really. I didn't forget about you. It was a typo error. That's it. The site mistakenly removed your name. That's it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What size do you need????

Terry - where are you getting your forecast from?? Weather.com says 70% chance of rain on friday and 50% on saturday. I don't care about the cold...

The saturday bride just called me in a tiff wanting to know why we're making her pay to get her own tent. She said I never told her that she had to pay. HELLO, it's in your contract mam. Besides, why in the hell would we pay for a $600 tent and I'm only charging you $500. I'm supposed to freaking lose money to host your event?? People are dumbasses. seriously. I'm so stressed with her, if you can't tell. I'm so f'ing glad that I won't be there for her wedding on saturday or else i would give her a piece of my mind.

Pammy - I haven't gone anywhere! I was away on a church retreat for two weekends last month, maybe that's what you're thinking about?? Saturday we leave Houston at 11am and arrive in Isla Navidad at around 2pm. When you walk through the door of the hotel they greet you with a ice cold hand towel and a fruit drink made with the fruit that's in season. I am keeping my mind focused on that thruout this whole ordeal.

Haydee- welcome to my world, the past few days have been SO WEIRD at work. It's like full moon for the industry.

Just one of the weird stories, we sent out "Recession Buster" pricing.. we are offering good discounts on common items, in exchange for a longer turn time. Trying to help people out. Instead of a 'Thanks, that's really helpful".. all responses I have gotten, are asking for something more.. "Can we get free shipping?" "Can I get X price at a lower quantity?" "Can I use special paper at this price and call it Depression Buster?".

No to Twitter, some reason I think it's stupid.. but I guess I think Facebook minute-by-minute updates are stupid too (even though I do them and read others!). Something about someone having live feed of my minute by minute life is weird (Twitter).

Suzie-scratch me off the t-shirt list. I am going to rat hole my money. I just can not go this time PLUS I have a HS reunion to go to. :mad2:

Tracy, I'm still sending you the shirt. You deserve it and you can take a pic of you wearing it out in your backyard lounging and drinking a margi out of a bottle for me.

I asked about the Twitter because over at the side it says to follow us on Twitter.

Yeah, yeah... it's just that I'm so tiny & mild-mannered that it's easy to overlook me... yeah, that's it! Um, XL? Thank you in advance!

I don't Twitter, Facebook or Myspace... seriously, I'm too busy living my life to document it moment by moment online... this thread right here is as close as I come to that! Lucky you guys! :mad2:

Off to begin my evening chauffeur services...

I just had to share with V aunties!!

I noticed last week, Carson has a thing for American Idol. I feel his kicks regularly in the same spot-same strength.. when I watch American Idol he is all over the place and doing HARD kicks and movements. Only when they're singing--when the judges are talking he does soft movements. I listen to music everyday at work, so it isn't just a music thing.

I just started American Idol for this week, the first 2 singers he is going nuts!! Kicking so hard and holding it out for a while so I could actually grab his leg LOL. I think this is so bizarre (and cool). My mom said I should keep some on Tivo so when he's born we can play American Idol for him. How neat is that??

Hi girls~

Been running around like a chicken with my head cut off so far today!

We had plumbing issues again as I said, I think Rick got it fixed. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Met him in town for lunch, and went and met up with Manda at the Dr.

They are actually doing a test on her. She was to be admitted tomorrow for the PIC line to be moved, her skin was breaking down around the site. They said due to the potency of some of the drugs that had been administered (which I personally doubt....) But anyway, they removed it. They did a blood draw, and she has blood drawn every 2 days for a week and if it remains normal, she does not have to have a new PIC line!!! They upped her oral antibiotics, and are totally impressed with the healing. Her home health care nurse ask her about donating some of her supplies to a local senior who cannot get their medicare plan to pay for some things. So she went over to the womans house tonight. She met back up with Kinsey and I at my Moms, she was so happy to help the woman, and is going to go over and help her to make sure she is ok with her meds.

I have dinner in the oven. House is semi cleaned. I plan on doing nothing tonight!!! LOL

Will check in with you all later. TracyK.....I might have to drive to TX and stuff you in a crate to take to Alabama, I am gonna miss you!

Suzanne, my shirt is in my closet, and I am praying it still fits me when the time comes! I need a fill so badly! I am sooooooo ready for short sleeve shirts again.

Ricks friend is pushing me, and I am ready to push back. I heard Rick talk to him, and now he is acting to me like Rick never said anything, going on about how his ex is having trouble getting help to get the house cleared out, and he is sure hoping it won't be as long as she is expecting it to be. I told him, you have the papers, take possession! He is scared to because he has already been in trouble......Rick is going to have to just be blunt....Time to move on! He has taken to the habit of just walking in my house! Oh no way!!! So I have to lock my doors. Well it is beautiful out so my front door is open and in he walks. I lost it. I told him even my kids knock----need me to teach you how? He was shocked I could tell! Now to be honest, my kids do knock---they knock and walk----but he is NOT my kid. I am a woman at home either alone or with children---he will NOT do that! Better shut up I am getting worked up.....again!!

TracyKS---glad no one was hurt in the wreck. I had a wreck one time with a car full of Navajos---seriously a Gran Am and there were 9 people in it!! They ALL said I ran the light---even the infant who was not in a proper car seat and the 7 year old who was buckled with a 34 year old on her lap! Thankfully there were witnesses not involved or the Navajo cop would have stuck it to me!

Anyway the address for the insurance was

Joe Blow Begay (ok no Blow)

1/4 mile East of the Gorman Store

Chinle Arizona.

The owner could not write, and they had to messenger everything out for his thumb print!!!

Worked out ok in the end thank goodness!

Will see y'all after dinner!!!

XOXOXO

Kat

Hey gals

quick check in, got a new replacement phone and i'm trying to make it work.... frustrating

trying to get my mail on my phone

well, it does seem that Kev has been a totally different person, oh wait, he has turned back into the person i really fell in love with, and we are taking it one day at a time and have worked through a tremendous amount of issues, mostly his and of course i have not been a saint so we have delt with that too.

But he does know we have some stuff left to deal with but also i'm not waiting forever and not letting him walk all over me.

so slow and steady

Wayne turned out to be a shit head, he was stringing his ex along while seeing me and got back with her and won't even acknowledge me because she is jealous ....

what ever, i guess he was not mr perfect. I do miss talking to him though.

anyway, going to read the next book, i need to sync my phone to my computer and don't have the energy to deal,

I have to work late tomorrow, so sucks to be me

Good evening, Violets..

It's been a fun day. Ethan was here all afternoon. I had a great flute rehearsal this morning and then a church meeting. When I got home, Ethan was so excited to see me. That sure makes me feel good. I took him to his home and his brother so I could go to choir. Had dinner out with friends and I couldn't eat a thing except for a couple of pieces of chicken. I ordered what I always used to order in my fat days when I thought I was being healthy.. chicken fajita salad. I brought the whole salad home. I'll know better next time.

Kris, Nathan and Grady came over after they had their taxes done, so I got to have my Grady fix. I also got to change my first Grady diaper. Kris has lost 20# and looks so much better than when I saw her on Saturday. Her stomach is almost a normal looking one already. I'm so glad for her. I told her not to be upset if people asked when she was going to have her baby... that's how big she was, but now ...no problem.

TracyK... I'm really going to miss you in Alabama!!!

Suzie.. I don't Twitter, but I do Facebook. I love it because I'm finding some of my former Kindergarten students all grown up. It sure is strange remembering how they looked in Kindergarten and then seeing them as adults!

Time to watch CSI:NY and then head to bed Ethan comes over first thing tomorrow morning.

Everyone have a great evening.. sleep well.

Just got home from workout. I feel like a big bowl of walking Jello. I webble wobble. Seriously- we did 400 crunches, 100 of them holding our feet in the air. I'm dead.

Laura, that is the cutest thing I have heard. Carson is already a hoot. Can't wait to see videos of him when he gets here.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

Good Luck this procedure is well worth it I am down to 249.6 lb please continue with the process..

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
