Banded twice and still struggling

Hi my name is shoshana and I was banded originally 2/07 and after I prolapsed I banded again in 3/08. I'm from LI and my doctor is Dr. Geiss. I lost over 50 lbs and I have about 40 more to go. It has been a very difficult road with the band but I'm trying to hang in. To all of you who are considering having this procedure, think long and hard and be ready. The band is an excellent tool, but you better start with your head first.

Hi Shoshana! What have you struggled with during your band journey? It's always good to find out what people go through - either positive or negative - and it helps us who haven't been banded yet make a fully informed decision.

And best of luck in your continued weight loss!
