First of all, it's NOT head hunger...it's hunger. You are empty and starving. Been there and still there.

Drink muscle milk and the bullets...New whey Protein. 100g of protein a day will help but you'll still be ready to lick the drive thru window of the closest McDonalds.

Clean your house. Go for a walk. The 3rd day is better...1st and 2nd suck a**. It's not going to get much better but at least you have us!

OMG I am laughing in real time over the licking the drive through window. THAT IS GOOD !!!

And your right it is actual hunger . I actually just emailed the OP and told her the key to not beign as hungry is protein ! Drink as many of those shakes protein what ever it is you can get as you can are allowed !

First day does suck a$$ . Then it is almost as if your stomach goes numb LOL

i want to tell you something completely diffrent from anyone here, its been 5 months after my surgery,i've lost 60 pounds so far,and feel great, but before my surgery,i had to be on liquids for a week,i tried i couldnt do it,and i enjoyed every last day before my surgery,i ate my favorite foods,i just couldnt suffer,i knew that after surgery i will be disciplined and follow all instructions, but before just enjoy

OMG this is the worst advice I've seen on here. I have talked to a few people who attempted this and they day of their surgery they woke up to a surgeon telling them that they were unable to do the surgery because they had a fatty liver and now they have to try the diet all over again!!! Please try your best to stick with it. I know it's hard, but it is so worth it in the end!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! lol Good luck...take care

Just stick to what ur doctor tells u and no1 else! U dont want to wake up from surgery and find ur bandless and in pain!! Its one week get over it ull be fine stick to ur doctors plan...This is just a support site no1 can tell u what to do besides ur doctor...ur doctor knows better than any1 he or she wouldnt stear u wrong...i had 2 weeks on clear liquids (slimfast, sf jello, water, chicken broth) and it sucked it was so hard but i got thro it just like u will...as for my 1st fill i didnt have any special diet afterwards my doctor told me to eat what is tolerated..i did exactly what he said and im fine...stick to ur pre op diet ull be happy when the week is over and u did it! Good luck

Stick to your diet. You can do it. It will get better on the 3rd or 4th day. I have a fatty liver, and I have been on it for 4 weeks now. I have dropped 20 lbs and actually feel better. No heart burn, no headaches and bloated feeling. You will be thankful if you stick to it, the last thing you want is a cancelled surgery or worse, an open surgery. Suger free popsicles atleast let you chew a little.

Good Luck!! You can do it!!!

Thank you for your support I think I've been doing great it is getting easier. I'm starting to get used to the hunger, I really hope this works. I'm so scared of not getting the band due to a fatty liver. I've lost 4.5 lbs since last Friday and I hope I lose more.

I am surprised they did the suregery. I was told that if you don't do the preop diet to cleanse the liver of fat they will not do the suregery and reschdule it until you lose those 10 or 15 pounds. They say it is harder to perform the procedure when the liver is fatty that is the point of the preop. But of course I love your way much much better.
