Problems sleeping and getting headaches! Anyone else have same?

:sad:It has been 6 weeks since my surgery and I am still getting daily and frequent headaches and have not slept through the night. I use Excedrin Migraine which usually works and if not then I use a prescribed Migraine medication. The worst part is that the headaches are waking me up at night. Anyone else have that problem? I haven't had a complete nights sleep since the surgery! If I take a prescribed sleeping pill I still wake up at 2-3 in the am and can't get back to sleep!! I did use the prescribed pain killer when I came home from the hospital but I have been out of that for at least 3 weeks.

Are you getting enough liquids??? and I thought that excedrin has caffeine and the pain killer was bad for your stomach check with your surgeon asap. Also are you feeling stress or anxiety that would be forming headaches?? I hope that you take it easy and feel better soon.

Andrea :)

I also thought Excedrin of any type was a no-no after surgery due to the aspirin in it...check with your doc. They should be able to shed some light on your sleeplessness and headaches too.

excedrine is an enormos no no after lapband. i posted earlier on the same thing and my doc prescribed a med for me called butral. my dr. said that the reason for tylonal being ok is due to the fact it is similar to a blood thinner, so therefore they recommended that drug; the dr. gave me 7 refills of 190 pills at a time!!! (i only asked for 20 plls!) SO...stop the excedrine, even though that was also the only thing that stopped my headaches, it will cause an ulcer 90% of the time. (at least what my dr. said) so i stopped and he gave me this stuff@@@###
