I lost 10lbs but am up 2lbs now---Surgery was 9/15. But I am on solid food now and am trying to keep things on track so I don't gain anymore. My first fill is tomorrow and I am totally ready for it!!! Time for some serious exersize too! But I am a low bmi'r and am not anticipating (or getting my hopes up) for huge losses at one time.....

I lost 18 lbs on the pre-op diet and then lost 10 lbs the first week after surgery, and 4 lbs. the next week (total of 32 lbs two weeks before to two weeks after). It has been all up hill from there. I am thinner and healthier than I have been in 15 years, so if it takes a while it will be ok.

Tommorow will be my 2wk mark I wieghed myself yesterday and I am 18lbs down. I had no preop diet to follow. Since then it has been a smooth ride with no problems.. I highly recommended oh yeah chocolate milkshake.. omg yummy. 32grms of Protein. 220 calories. Yummy.

I know my honeymoon phase will end so I am enjoying this loss at this rapid rate. LOVE MY BAND

I am 1 week and one day out of surgery and excited. I lost 19 lbs before surgery and I have lost another 9 in the last week for a grand total of 28 lbs! All sticking strictly to the diet except i cheated with grilled chicken during my preop like 3 separate times....

I was banded Nov. 24th so today will be 10 days post-op. As of this morning I've lost 12 lbs. Two days ago (according to the scale) I was two lbs lighter...but I blame the weight gain on Aunt Flow. Once she's outta town those two lbs in Water weight will be gone, too.

Today is day 9, and sadly I have only lost 1 lb post op. Reading the vast majority of people here have lost a lot more than that, it's frustrating to see such slow progress, particularly as I didn't cheat at all on my pre-op or post-op. I was slow in my pre-op weight loss also.

Vangirl hang in there! It's a process. I haven't lost ANY more since my preop and the 2 weeks of liquids post op, and it's been 3 months for me. My doctor isn't fazed in the slightest and he says I will start losing at around 6 months...I don't even have any restriction yet. I just figure if I'd wanted to drop 60 pounds in 3 months I could've gotten bypass surgery. Yay for those who do drop lot really fast, but it's not a race, and I figure I'll get there eventually!

I lost 11 pounds post-op. I'm not expecting a fast weight loss because the "mushies" have alot of carbs which always make it difficult for me to lose weight. I start adding soft food this weekend so as I eat more Protein, I'm hoping to see more results.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
