Which proteins work well with the band?

I'm curious, my insurance was just approved and I'm just waiting for a date to be scheduled. For those of you who have been successful, which proteins were easy to digest with the band? I'm not a fish lover - just shellfish. And what about eggs???

congrats on getting approved!!!!

i use to LOVE eggs - it's not that i can't eat them; just lost my taste for them - completely, even egg salad which i ate early on.

i get proteins from: lean meats/fish (i know your not fond of:wink:)/cheese/beans (all kinds)/greek yogurt/protein drinks - some days/tuna & chicken salad....

check out the food forums - you can get some good ideas, again congrats on the approval!

Thanks!!! I can see me having lots of yogurt, eggs & cheese.

Ditto what Luluc said...I generally only use the egg whites (lower in fat and cholesterol) for omelettes etc. If I make egg salad I use 1 yolk for every 4 whites. Yogurt, cheese, salmon (very high in protein) and can be poached, baked, blackened, moose (spelling escaped me), protein shakes (hot or cold). I hope this helps.
