To tell or not to tell????

Ok here's my drama. I'm a 31 year old woman, married with 2 children. I weigh in at 257lbs. I have been overweight my whole life and obese the last 13 years. I am having lapband the 22nd. I just told my mother. She was very upset. She doesnt think "you're not that big". Hello!!!!! I am seriously considering telling NO ONE else. Not even my grandma. WOW!!!! I had hoped my family would be supportive. My husband, my sister and my in-laws are all very supportive. Any suggestions? EEK! Thanks in advance. Kelli

My husband and I are both having the surgery Nov 13 in Tiajuana. I have told several people, but he's been very quiet about it. He hasn't told any of his family (even his sister that he listed as an emergency contact). He didn't even tell his boss -- only his assistant. He said he doesn't like the reaction people have when they find out he's doing it in Mexico. I say let them freak out, it's our decision and we're going to prove everyone wrong!
