Should I .. Or Shouldn't I.. Get Another Fill?

Recommended Posts

Hi There!

I have 6.5cc in a 10cc band. My next fill is 10/16 about a week and 1/2 away. When I go in for doc appts, he asks me if I want a fill then he determines how much he wants to give me, I've never "negotiated" the amount of fill.

I would be so appreciative of your input on what my answer should be when he asks me if I want a fill, because I'm not sure what to say.

I'm not sure if I'm at my sweet spot, but here is how my day usually goes now...

For Breakfast (6AM) I always have a shake because I'm tight.

salad goes down well, so that's what I usually have for lunch (11:30 AM)with a grilled chicken breast - and by lunch I'm definitely hungry. Sometimes the chicken feels "uncomfortable". I can easily eat about a cup and 1/2 of salad (but I do eat most of the protien first).

By 3PM (sometimes by 2PM) I'm HUNGRY. So sometimes, not always, I have a SlimFast protien bar.

For dinner (around 7PM) I'm hungry, usually eating some sort of meat and vegetable. I can get about 1 to 1-1/2 cups down, usually with no problems. Sometimes I'm so hungry, that while preparing dinner, I'll nibble on a piece of cheese or slice of deli meat.< /p>

I'm unsure about these hunger levels that I'm experiencing and the quantity of food? I appreciate all responses!

Thanks!

I just had this conversation with my dr the other day when I went in to see him. I am now up to 7cc in a 10 cc band. But because I am tight in the mornings and have a hard time swallowing some of my pills he didn't want to do a fill right then he wants to wait and see how it goes the next 4 wks. I told him that I do get hungry after a while and he told me asked me is it real hunger or just boredom and thinking that I'm hungry. Which the last few days when I thought that I was hungry I would just drink some Water or change activities and that hunger pain passes. So that is the question you need to ask yourself, am I truly hungry?

I think it also matters how well you're losing! If you're losing 1-2 pounds a week like you are, then hang in there and wait a few weeks!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
