My feet are not shrinking!

Recommended Posts

I always hear everyone say their feet get smaller when they lose weight, well I started out at 280, and now down to 248, still the same shoe size and not even a bit looser! I am trying to wear those cute small shoes, but I just cant, I think im gonna have fat feet forever!:cool2:

It takes longer for your feet to shrink than it takes for your body. Give it more time...it'll come

I don't know if everyone's feet get smaller. It does take some time to lose a shoe size. I wore a size 11 at 315lbs and still at 250lbs. It was when I got below that my shoe size moved to like a 10.5 and then a 10 and now I'm a 9-9.5.

It sounds like you are looking forward to having smaller feet, so for your sake, I hope they do get smaller! Good luck!

OMG!! I didn't realize your feet really go up a shoe size...I mean I know it did, but I didn't realize you would lose a shoe size! I used to be 5 - 5 1/2 until I was 30 then when the weight came on I went up to a 7 - 7 1/2. Well I guess that's something else to look forward too!(:

My shoe size doesn't go up and down but, when I'm fat, I need a "W" (for "wide") and a lot of shoes don't fit but not because of the length but the "roundedness" of my feet, if you know what I mean.

My weight and shoe size change with each child I had. I had some really cute and pricey shoes I purchase before husband and kids that are in the basement because I cant get into them anymore. I had a shoe funeral 2 years ago. I tried on each one hoping for them to fit so that I could justify keeping them in the closet. I hadto bare over 50 pair. I am one of those girls that thinks if you have on a great pair of shoes, you really dont need anything else on. I would love to be able to reincarnate them.

I have that issue too!

As much as I was sad to say goodbye to my old shoes, I was more than happy to have my feet get smaller because at a size 11, I didn't have as many options, but now wearing 9-9.5 I have SO much more to choose from. Plus I am a lot more comfortable in heels!

I was under 200 pounds before I started seeing a difference in my feet. I don't wear wide shoes anymore, and I went from a 7 to a 6 so far. I bought a pair of black classic pumps yesterday and even the 6 was a little loose. My ankles and toes no longer swell, and I can see my shins!!!

150 plus pounds later and I am still an 8 wide (although they do fit better than before). As well, my breasts have totally deflated, but I have only gone from a DD cup size to a D (although on the bright side it is now a 36 D). :crying:

LMFAO..omg that was way too funny. I'm more worried about my deflating boobs :smile2:~ Of course the thought of my butt size crosses my mind, but not nearly as often as the tube socks I see when I look down...lol good luck all!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
