Will .25 cc's make a difference?

Recommended Posts

I had a fill on Tuesday. I have a 4cc band. I was at 2cc's. Doc put in .50cc's. I did ok at the office. I got home and had symptoms of my band being too tight. I was puking up the liquids I was trying to drink. For 2 days I had only ice chips. Today I got tired of not eating so I decided to eat some chips. Surprisingly I was able to get down about 4 chips and 3 small spoons of tuna. Still no liquids. I've had a head cold for the past week. So needless to say I've woken up with some nasal drainage. I've had a ton of mucus in my chest. So I'm wondering if liquids cant get down due to this. I have an unfill scheduled for in the morning. I'm going to see if he will just take out .25cc's. I'm wondering if it will even make a difference. Has anyone seen a difference with such a small amount?

Donna:

If you have postnasal drip from your cold he may need to take more out than .25 . Don't worry. He can put it back in when you feel better.

Take care.

As for does .25cc make a difference, for me it makes a huge difference. It seems everyone is different, but it takes very little for me to have perfect restriction or be way too tight.

My doc was being a total ass today I went in for a fill he gave me .25cc

I recently had to have .5 taken out because it kept getting tighter and tighter ..anyways so when the swelling went down and I was ready for a fill I went in last week got .25 still not as restricted as I like my band so I went in today and he was being so pissy like it such a pain to fill me again ..whatever I pay 100 to fill or unfill

I want it right...

I know the feeling about the doctor acting like you're bothering him wanting to get it right, that's what I'm going through right now too. We went through surgery to get restriction, fills are a big part of the process. Without proper fill we might as well not have the lap band at all, so I don't know why it's so hard to get fills from some of these doctors! Grrr if only there were other fill doctors in my area!

smsmithart, is it possible for your band to feel like it's getting tighter as the time goes by? I was fine when I left the office, drank with no problem, but now about 1 week out, I'm starting to have problems eating. Some days are great with no problem and others (mostly others) are a real bear to keep anything down, without feeling like crap. I guess I'm just at a loss because of the early signs that everything was fine and now there's a problem.:bolt:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
