Well, I had been staying away from the scale since it wasn't moving much lately! I went for my first fill yesterday and learned that I have lost 2 pounds since my last appointment TWO WEEKS AGO!! Aaarrgg....

Anyway, I have a brand new attitude after my fill. I have noticed that less than a cup of food is filling me up and keeps me satisfied till my next meal. I'll take that!

So, I'm hoping to post a nice lass for next Friday!

I've been walking 5-6 times a week for 3 miles at a brisk pace. I plan to add a few days of my toning video. I'm ready to kick this band into high gear!

Let's keep Rockin' August Bandsters!

See you all next week!

Last week: 210.8

This week: 206.4

Total Lost: 4.4

Treadmill a couple of days and walking in the woods.

I start full liquids (goodbye shakes!), purees and very soft foods this weekend. I'm only getting about 200 calories a day right now so hoping to bump that up some. We'll see what happens with the WL next Friday!

Good job everyone!!

I am now 10 days post-op and still on full liquids.

Last Friday 245

Today 244

How can I have only lost one pound when I am only eating 1/4 cream of wheat for Breakfast, 1 yoplait yogurt for lunch, and 1/2 cup Tomato Soup for dinner? I did lost 10 lbs the week after surgery, but this is ridiculous. I know I should be grateful for losing anything ( I have now lost 41 lbs since orientation), but I am so hungry.

OMG honey...you are hungry for a reason...you aren't getting enough calories! Did your dietician tell you how many calories you should be getting within the 2nd week after surgery? Are you getting enough Protein? Consuming Protein will make you feel more satisfied.

Have you logged your food on fitday.com or dailyplate.com? I think that you will be appalled at how few calories you are getting in. Your body has gone in to starvation mode and is holding on to EVERYTHING you put in to it because it doesn't know if/when you will feed it again. You need the calories and nutrition to heal properly. Eat enough, or drink it if you have to! Maybe you could make both your Soup and Cereal with milk to pump up your nutrition and calories.

I don't think I will ever make it to weigh in on Friday so I'll make it Saturday morning weigh ins for me if that is ok. I lost one pound this week. Down from 238 to 237. Started regular foods this week and I had a very difficult time not eating too much so I am very happy with the one pound. Starting exercising this week and I am feeling better. Congratulations everyone on your weight loss.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
