Stomach virus, not going to hurt your band. But if you start vomiting a LOT, that can cause stomach irritation and swelling which can make your band real tight. Excessive volatile vomiting can also cause a band to slip. If you are throwing up a lot, it may be worth a call to your Dr. to ask for some Compazine or something similar to take away the nausea and prevent vomiting.

I would get some anti nausea medication just in case you need it because that vomiting is the only thing you really need to worry about it.

It would be best to get a script from your doctor. However, I did find some over the counter medicine named Nauzene chewables at Walmart that works well for this. I also saw it at my local grocery store.

Call your doctor and ask for a prescription of anti nauseau... My doc filled a script for me before I left the hospital it's good for 1 year and he offers more refills. I keep it handy.
