UH HUH you guessed it, it's me ok. lol I have a question and then I have a comment about the question. So here goes.

When you gals weigh yourselves do you do it with or without your clothes on? Did you know that if you weight with you clothes on (even night clothes) you can add atleast 2 pounds to what the scales tell you? That's right, you can.

I just weighed myself a couple minutes ago both ways. First with a nightgown and night pants on, scales said 256,

I took everything I had off and weighed again and it said 254. I like the naked answer much much better.

So the question is, which is the proper way to weigh? Clothed or naked?

in the morning after i pee and naked

OH BOY gilliebean, I had a sip of hot tea with apple cider in my mouth when I read your reply. when I read pee, I just about spit out my drink. Not sure why, but that was funny. Maybe just cause I am in a good mood.

I weighed myself and saw it said ten pounds, I ran back into my room got my cell phone, weighed again and took a picture of it saying 254 and sent it to my husband. lol:w00t:

I also weigh in the morning, after I pee, and ditch my clothes. Even a night shirt and panties make a difference. I weigh every day so I can adjust my eating if I bounce up some. At the surgeon's office it is usually late in the day, after having eaten Breakfast and lunch, fully clothed with sneakers on. I am usually 7 pounds heavier in his office. I go by what I weigh at home when I tell someone how much weight I have lost.

I weight myself with no clothes in the morning. I notice that I am at the same weight that way as at the doctors with clothes. So my scale adds a pound or two. I heard that from my friends as well when they use my scale.

It really doesn't matter what you are wearing when you weigh, but you do need to keep it consistent. You should really only be concentrating on the CHANGE in your weight so if you always weigh in your undies then you shouldn't weigh one day with your clothes on. I agree, I wait until I pee first!

In the morning, after completely "unloading", nekked. When I go to the doctor (tomorrow for my 3rd fill) I wear light clothing and remove the shoes. My sneakers add 2 lbs alone. My scale is calibrated to the one at the doctors office.

In the morning after I pee, poop (if I'm lucky), no jewlery, no clothes, nothing that might possibly add a pound or two!!!

I agree that you need to be consistent with what you wear )or don't wear) and try to weigh at the same time of day.

In the morning after I use the potty and in my jammies :smile2:

I agree with lanakila, it really doesn't matter as long as you are consistent.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
