Well I was in a slump about my weight and went shopping. I went to Macey's and got my self a dress and some capri's. I thought what the hell Ill try on these 18 and I know I wont be able to get them past my hips. So I put them on and got them buttoned  I was so excited to dropped down a couple more sizes. I just cant wait to get that second fill and watch the weight just fall off. This will be the first summer that Ive looked forward to in a LONG time:thumbup: Hope everyone is doing good keep up the good work and thanks for letting me join your group. Im sure we will all have wonderful stories to share with eachother.

LoneStarLoser - hang in there - you can do this. Keep on making good food choices and keep yourself moving and things will fall back into line.

I spent the last two weeks pretty much stuck. I kept fighting the good fight but stopped stepping on the scale - it was adding to the stress. I finally stepped on the scale this morning and had lost 2-1/2 pounds - not as much as I had been losing, but I'll take it. I go back to the clinic in a week and will probably ask for a small fill to get back on track.

I had people tell it it could take 7 to 14 days for the fill to really work at it's full potential and sure enough...that is how long it took me to tell after the first one. After the second fill i could tell a difference right away...it has been about 10 days.

I am frustrated. I have stayed under 1000 calories a day. (mostly under 800) I eat 3 healthy meals a day. Protein first. I work out 3-4 days a week. Elliptical for 30 minutes and then some weights although I have had to take it easy this week since my syatic nerve has reared it's ugly head since playing basketball against my youngest on Sunday.

Anyway I plateaued for about 2 weeks when I was about to hit the 230s and now I'm afraid the same thing is happening getting close to the 220s. UGH!

I lost 2 lbs last week, 4.4# the week before that and 3.5# the week before that. This week I have lost only 0.9 so far since Monday. This is so FRUSTRATING! I am doing everything right. I have perfect restriction. 1 cup of food and I am full! I don't snack. I don't even eat crap! UGH!

I hope that scale moves again tomorrow!

It takes time. Some weeks I lose 4 pounds, other weeks I lose 1 pound. For instance, this week I have lost 0 pounds but I think is because I am on my menstrual cycle. I decided to bump up my circuit training, besides my time in the gym, I work out to the biggest loser DVDs. Exercising is the worst during the menstrual cycle, ugh, I hate it. I am still stuck at 213, I know a few of those pounds are lean muscles, so thats a good thing.

It most certainly is frustrating at times. I seem to have hit my first plateau, and even though I knew logically it had to happen, I was sure disappointed when it did.

I'm doing things the same as always (which is to say good but not perfect) and last month I lost 13 lbs - with Christmas thrown in - and this month I seem to have lost 2. I guess we just keep pushing on and sooner or later we'll see progress again.

Go to the top of the page. Under your name find "Quick Links" In the drop down list select Edit signature. Paste the ticker address in the signature and it will show on all messages. You can touch on the ticker to update it without building a new one every time.

Good luck!

My weight loss has slowed down quite a bit but I'm still headed in the right direction!

I'm not finding time to exercise as much as before...I need to recommit to that.

Today is my birthday so I have a feeling I won't be completely "on plan" with my diet today!

Keep going everyone...

~~anne

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
