Any October Bandsters!??!?!

Recommended Posts

I have hit my first plateau. Logically I know it was bound to happen, but it's still frustrating. I keep on keeping on eating correctly and exercising (off to the gym in a bit), and sooner or later it will start coming off again. I just hope it's sooner.

Appt for my 3rd fill is next week. Maybe that will help.

It is a struggle, isn't it? Certainly not the easy way everyone (ok, mostly skinny people) seem to think it is.

Hello Oct. Band. It has been a hard road. Im down to 200lbs cant wait to be onederland. Ive had some back issues so working out has been hard. I miss CARBS! But fitting into smaller sizes makes it all worth it. Ive had 3 fills about 7.2cc and am scheduled for another next month. Hunger is hitting me a lot. I hope this is the last fill for a while. With last one I started to start to feel full sooner. Ive lost more inches then I thought I would. It feels great.

Keep on Keepin on! Everyone.

I just realized Im half way to my goal. Yeah me! I hope I can make it by summer.

Good luck to you all. God Bless

You are doing great Cyndy! I did not make the Dec support meeting and will probably have to work the night of the next one. Have you been able to go? You are doing really well! Congrats!

Thanks for the update, Molly Jo! That gives me hope yet!!

I got banded on 10/28, have only lost 4 lbs since then and and just got my 3rd fill this last Monday, 1/19 .

When you say that you got your fill in December then all of a sudden it just happend -- can you say what changed for you? .......Did that December fill kick in later, or were you doing things differently, or was it a slow loss from the December fill until now?

I've been eating less (but not as little as I thought I would!!) and going to Curves 3x a week with walking in-between that. Sheesh, I thought I'd be further along than this!

...Sorry for all the ?s, but I really appreciate any feedback!! Rosie

Hi Rosie

I wish I could say I knew what it was...but I DON'T! I still think I am eating too much I can eat more than a cup of food, then other times I can hardly eat a 1/2 cup? So trust me I haven't figured it out yet either. I am trying more Proteins and less carbs, I am finally going to get off my AZZ and start Jazzersize Monday so maybe that will give me the umph I need.

You aren't alone I thought for sure I would be down more than 21 pounds by now but I am losing inches so I am not going to complain...I am getting smaller and I feel better. I can't wait till next week I am going on a cruise with my Mom, Sister and Aunt....(I haven't seen them in 6 months) and believe me they can be brutally honest so I will know for sure next Friday if it is really noticeable...LOL

Keep up the good work you are doing fine!!

I'll take 199 over 235 (my heaviest) any day!! It was so funny when I got on the scale today I screamed so loud my husband came running he thought I fell or something!:(

Have any of you run into this while eating at resturants? We went to the Big Boy chain today and they refused to allow me to eat off of the childs menu, even after I explained to the waitress that I had a medical condition and showed her my card. My husband was so frustrated we ended up walking out and going some place else. I just sent a letter to them via the website, I will let you know what kind of response I get from them. In the meantime thank you all for your encouragement, I couldn't have done it without your support!! You guys have been great!! I am finally going to join jazzercise tomorrow!! :scared2:

At the restaurant we used to go to the most often, the waitress said that if she were to ask the owner to honor the card, he would say no and that I should ask myself and may have better luck. I did not bother. I ordered something that I could eat part of now and take the rest home but I am going there very rarely now.

I found a nice restaurant that actually has a dieters menu for Breakfast. It was great. I will be going there a lot more. It is always crowded so I guess that says a lot of people like it!

I've never actually tried to order of the kids menu or to use one of the cards.

I've always either asked for a "to go" container when my food first arrives, or have ordered off the appetizer menu.

This most certainly is a learning process. Eating out has become a whole new experience. So has grocery shopping - I am still learning all of my trigger foods that I need to keep out of the house.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
