Dr. Vaughan at Jupiter Medical Center

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am looking for people who have used Dr. Vaughan at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL and want to know your opinions of him, his staff, the facilities, and your experience there.

I recently made the decision that I am going forward with bariatric surgery. I have attended the first seminar and now finishing up my initial paperwork. Then onto dealing with the insurance company.

At the seminar Dr. Vaughan seem like he genuinely cares about everyone and also very knowledgable in bariatric surgeries. He also seem to have a good maner about himself and I felt comfortable with him.

So please if you have used him let me know what your opinion is.

Thanks!

I can tell you that he has been around for a verylong time and has done a lot of by-pass and bands. When I lived in Fla 6 years ago I was looking at being banded by Dr. Vaughn. Never did meet him. There was a couple of old timmers that did go to him and they did well. Have not seen those people on here in a long time.

Chris

HI, I wanted to let you know that I have personally known 4 people that have had gastric bypass by Dr. Vaughan at Jupiter Medical center and they are all very happy with everything. He is the doctor I recommended to my best friend and she went in on Sept 13th, not even a month ago to have gastric bypass, and she loved him and she is doing great. She was up and moving around within 2 days and within a week she was out shopping. lol. She did so much better than I thought she would. She had lost 16 lbs after her first checkup and there was a guy that had his surgery the same day that she had hers done and he lost 33 pounds after the first week.

I went with my best friend when she had it done last month and not only Dr. Vaughan but the whole nursing staff and the anesthesiologist were all amazing and so helpful and knowledgeable. Hope that helps... Good luck.. I think you are in great hands..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
