** NEW ** Kansas Bander

Hello ALL,

I am from Kansas and was banded May 20th and I have had 3 fills since. I have lost 18 lbs. I am still excited about this experience, but not doing well with exercising. I have a husband, 3 kids, a full time job and working on my masters.

I don’t want to loose weight to fast, for I am going for the slow and stead approach, but was disappointed when did not loose any weight in between my last fill. While I am glad that i did not gain, it was slightly frustrating.

My goal for next week is to try and at least get some type of exercise activity in.

Wish me luck.

PS – I was able to get a weight track, but do not know how to get it to post on the site. Can anyone help with that by providing instructions? --Thanks

Chat with you soon

Take care,

ME

Welcome to LBT. If you click on UserCP and then Edit signature you should be able to just paste in the HTML or code for your tracker.

yes, i had trouble with this too, it goes right in the signature box with the info you would type about yourself.

I am from kansas too! Ozawkie, its not to far from Lawrence. I have a hard enough time fitting it in with just a full time job and my daughter ( in the process of adopting!) I just got a Wii fit and it has changed my exercising! so excited. I to have been loosing slowly.. but stedily. ready to go a little bit faster lol. good luck with the working out its the hardest part lol :tongue_smilie:

Welcome to LBT! I'm in the Kansas City area as well. Congrats on the weightloss so far. I can completely relate to the whole issues with exercise. Even know just a few weeks from 3 years out and my treadmll is used more by my 4 year old as a race track for his toy cars than it is by me. Though I have managed to walk once a week (most weeks) for the last year with another bandster I met online. We meet at a local mall on Wednesday nights and walk anywhere from 3 to 5 miles depending on how much shopping or talking we are doing (more shopping = less walking / more talking = more walking)

Last night we were talking so much by the time we were done I think we had walked over 6 miles! Something I never could have done before.

PS - If you have trouble getting the ticker to work by inserting the HTML code into your signature line it also works to just highlight the picture of the ticker right click copy then right click & paste it into the signature line on LBT's control panel.

I am from Kansas too and I had my surgery around the same time (mine June 24th) and have had only 1 fill and I am stuck just like you NO WEIGHT LOSS and lots of discouragement!!!! Keep up the slow loss but I am like you too I had different dreams of this band!!!

I am in KS as well, Lansing (near Leavenworth). I had surgery on April 18th this year and have to say I'm doing pretty well. I've lost about 70 pounds so far and have had 5 fills. I actually think I've hit my sweet spot with this one.

I posted before somewhere else about wanting to start a support group for people near me. If anyone is interested email me at ALionberge@aol.com. I would love to set something up. Hope to hear from people soon.

Hi to all. My name is Maranda, I live in upstate Ny with my husband and 2 dogs who are everything to me. I finished yesterday all my required Dr. visits and nutritional eval. Now it is just a wait and see with my insurance company. My doctor had told me once we get approval which takes about 3 weeks I can have a date by september. I think we are looking more like october, we will see.

So hi to all of you and I look forward to talking with you.
