Welcome Lisa. This is a great site for support. I was banded May 19th 2008 and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Good luck!!

Hi Lisa,

I am getting mine at 9:00, Tues. morn! I can't wait.

I will say, I will miss some things.

Did you have to diet before it's done?

I wish you all the best.

I love to hear how you are doing in the recovery stage.

Yes I did I lost 22 lbs to my own surprise. I did gain back 5 lbs it is summer and I knew, but I went back to the liquid to get use to drinking it. during the diet I did a little of everything to get a feel for it. I didn't do a lot of heavy eating with the fatty foods, I learn to eat the right things. So it is hard but it will be all worth it, I can't wait for my surgery, Dr. Noel Williams will be doing my procedure here in Philly at Univ of Pa

Hey Lisa!! I just joined here a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations on getting your surgery date!!! I was banded June 2, 2008 and i would do it again in a heartbeat! I did something great for myself. I'm learning to eat healthy and i'm already off of my diabetes med and my blood pressure med!!! I really feel better already and i still have a LONG way to go!

Keep me updated with everything and feel free to email me.

Good luck!!

Hi all! I'm new also. I was banded 2 weeks ago, and am still getting used to how this all works. Good luck to everyone getting ready to have their procedure! We're all in this together!:)

One more day for you!!!! I am so excited, I have read all the material that was given even a website I had to go on and listen to the details of the surgery and after surgery information. I watched it a few times. I am not nervous and I hope you are not, we both will do just great and I look forward to talking to you when you can...I will try to touch bases with you by Friday, I should be relaxed by then. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
