How much have you lost July Butterfllies??

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm even older, 62! And yes, I am seeing more wrinkles, mostly in my neck. I haven't begun to think about it yet, because I don't know where I am going to end up. I was told not to think about plastic surgery until 1 year after I hit goal. I think that's because people don't usually end up staying at their lowest and we have to have our bodies "level out."

I do know that I will do "something" about my hanging stomach, if only to take care of nasty yeast infections and overall discomfort, so a Tummy Tuck is in the works - someday. As for facial plastic surgery. I see a lot of turtlenecks in my future for the winter, which is funny, since winter is no where to be seen in southern california. As for the rest, it's a wait and see issue.

Right now I figure I'll just enjoy good health and being able to do more.

Good luck.

Ellen

I had a tummy tuck a couple of years ago so I don't have the saggy stomach, But every time I make my face I notice the wrinkles in my neck and the hound dog jaws. I don't think I'm gonna have a face lift although I will be getting breast implants, I also had a breast lift and they took me down 2 sizes because of the weight of my breast and now with the weight loss they are almost non existing:cry_smile: But my Doc that did it said when I'm ready she'll waive her fee and do the implants for me. I'll only have to pay for the cost of the implants. I did everything backwards but I can't change that now so I'll just deal with it as it comes. and love the idea of turtle necks, that covers the winter now just have to figure something out for the summer LOL

Thanks, My weight loss has been a crawl this last month. But I just eat 3/4 of a cup of food 3 times a day and I'm doing high Protein low carb. I only count net carbs not total carbs, and go to curves 3 times a week and walk one of my dogs on the days I don't go to curves.(weather permiting) I really think I need another fill. I'll go in the first week in Dec. I guess. I don't think i need much, I hope it goes better then the last one.

So as of now I am doing really well, yesterday was kind of rough being turkey day and all. Nothing really agreed with me then but I guess that was good. And the thought of pie was ugh.... None of that even remotely sounds tempting to me. I hope you all were able to resist temptation. Keep up the good work.

Awesome weight loss! Well, I ate out so I didn't have leftovers and that is my downfall. Temptation was not there this year.

I have no weight gain to report, but no loss either. It seems I'm holding steady and can't break the 190. I've been fluctuating between 190 and 192 for the past month. I get a 5th fill tomorrow so I'm hoping that will really kick it off.

Thanksgiving was great! I was really bad though. I had cheese puffs!! And pie!! Bad Marie! I didn't keep up with my Protein, or eat low carb, but somehow managed to lose 1.5 over the long weekend. That was a pleasant surprise. I am thinking that because I wasn't stressing so much about it (and couldn't weigh myself because we went out of state) that maybe it helped me lose. I am going to try to be less stressed and see if I can lose another 1.5 this week.

I just got back from getting an unfill. He took out a half cc. I got tired of getting stuck and throwing up. I called today and told them the dilema I was in and they said I needed to have some saline taken out. I feel so much better. I came home and ate with no problem. The doctor is going to put the half cc back on the 18th. I finally reached the fifty lb loss a few days ago.

I think a small fill will jump start your loss. your doing great. Let's hope we can maintain during the holidays.:thumbup::)

Hi Everyone, have not posted for a couple of weeks and am not losing as well as I would like either. I can tell by reading all your posts tha.t I am eating too much. I have been keeping a food journal on a site called FitDay and it is really easy and free to use. So much easier than trying to write everything down. Hope you can use this info....FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal Jenhay

I must say logging my calories daily into thedailyplate.com

has made all the difference. Everyone here is doing so great.

I've not been logging what I eat because I HATE doing it. For me, keeping an eating journal only causes me to obsess about food all the more. I haven't been losing so maybe I just need to force myself to log the food. I still think exercise is going to be the key for me and I just need to kick myself back into it again.

Hey guys....I am not very happy about my weight loss so far. I had my surgery on the 22nd of July. Now I am down from an 18/20 pants to a 16 (in most jeans). So I know that I'm losing, but its just so slow. I went to the Dr. yesterday thinking I needed a fill b/c my scales say I haven't lost any weight since the beginning of November, but when they weighed my I had lost 3.5 lbs. But.....I'm still discouraged when I see how much all of you have lost. Of course when they saw that I had lost weight they wouldn't give me a fill so I was a little dissapointed. I know I should make heathier choices....but I can go 5 hrs. before eating again. Does the pouch diet really work? Any suggestions?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
